Vote for BICP on TWC! You can vote once per day, and if we make a concentrated push, we can get onto the front page this month!
Cohen: Please don’t be offended. If you want to know the truth, I’m impressed. It sounds like you’ve done some research on the topic you’re legislating after all.
Bennett: Well, you have to know these things, when you’re in Congress.
Cohen: Arthur — may I call you Arthur?
Bennett: . . . Must you?
Cohen: Bennett, then.
In your ideal world . . . if the decision on what to do with Beings like the Rabbit were completely in your hands . . . Based on your research, what would you do?
Bennett: Ideally? I . . .
I would sever her Contract. Detach her from whoever is ordering her. That way we could bring the law down on him without any repercussions to her at all.

Well, Bennett caved.
and a thousand admiral Akbar memes spoke out at once, “Its a trap!”
Whoa, Bennett as crusader for Being freedom? Not what I expected…
He doesn’t give a flying crud about Being freedom. I suspect it’s more about “Master” freedom. Right now, Cybele is causing him stress because if they find out who ordered her to make all that mayhem, he will be persecuted, not her. If Beings were allowed to be punished independently from Masters, he would be free from persecution.
Assuming Bennett is sincere, he earns points for me here :)
Bennett has enunciated a morally rational opinion. Stop the presses. I don’t care if he means it, this implies forethought. *mind blown* XD
Just to make sure, that was a Holy Grail reference, right?
Yes indeed :)
