And we are back on schedule! (See, this is why I normally restrict updates to three a week…)
One final time, the BICP fan challenge for the week: Tell someone that you read and like this comic. Maybe it’s your entire flist, maybe it’s just a buddy over IM. Size doesn’t matter — it’s the thought that counts!
___
Patrick: ?!
(FLUMPH)
(flicker) (fwoosh) (swish)
Patrick: Owowowowow . . .
(swoosh) (floof)
Kara Lynn: . . .
That was . . . Nice.
Bianca: Patrick!
Sparrow (thinking): . . . and I’m back in line. Well, that was pretty pointless.

That answers one question. If Sparrow just jumps back into line like nothing happened, it can be hypothesized that the battles happen inside a sort of chrono-rift, a separate time from the normal flow of space-time.
… or the line moves really slowly :-).
I think the chrono-rift is more probable too, because someone would notice if she disappeared from the line. What is more important is that the battle will not move you in real space …. but wait: the identification badges DID moved, the being give them to masters while in the battle timespace continuum. HOW that looked in normal timespace?
If time/space distortion theory has taught me anything, alot like a jump cut in a movie.
That settles the comment debate, but what about Patrick? Has taking a fall broken him?
