Bianca: Hey, Patrick . . . Would you like to spend some time with Kara Lynn? Not fighting, just hanging out?
If her Master lets her, we can send you off alone for a while.
Patrick: . . . Not fighting? What would we do instead?
Jany: Don’t push your luck, mate. I don’t trust you that far. Besides, there’s a sculpting event in a quarter of an hour that we don’t want to miss.
Sparrow: Are you talking about the Sculpt Your Own Chibi workshop? Because that’s the line I got out of. It’s at least ten percent overbooked by now. Nobody who shows up at this point is getting in.
Jany: . . .
. . . I hate cons.
Sparrow: Hey, c’mon, it’s not that big a–
Jany: Never mind! We have another thing to go to right now. Goodbye!
Kara Lynn: Goodbye, Patrick! It was nice to see you!
Sparrow: I’m violetbauble on JournalPress. Look me up any time!
Jany: You remember that, okay?
Kara Lynn: Of course.

*Facepalm*
All sympathy aside, what did Jany expect? This is is a massive con, did she think that there would magically be a way to somehow do everything she wanted without time management or money?
likely its her first con, your first time you can easily have mistaken expectations. You see it from alot of kids at cons.
Poor Jany is acting just like I did at MY first con and acting exactly as I expected. Not enough planning, money, or common sense. It’s sad as hell, but understandable. :C
To be honest, having never read up about cons (why would I, living outside of the US with no luck of flying in any time soon?), I wouldn’t expect workshops and panels and stuff to have vacancies numbering a tiny fraction of the entire con population for the day.
Not without running multiple times, at least.
awww, Jany! poor kid D8
